EVENT 1: ACADEMY-1 ENERGY EFFICIENT BUILDINGS AND ZERO ENERGY HOUSES EVENT DESCRIPTION
Our first training was held in NL. Due to the restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic, we have designed the multiplier event in a special way. Project Partner Van der Meer & van Tilburg has embedded the project results in an initiative for Challenge Based Learning. Students have designed and realized a sustainable house themselves. Van der Meer & van Tilburg then developed a plan based on the ideas of the students for a final destination: a transition lab where young people, local residents, and companies can learn from and in transition processes. An online event was organized in February 2021. 323 people participated in the meeting via a live stream. During this live stream, students and stakeholders were interviewed about the things they learned during the development of the CELCIUS house and the way in which the learning objectives from the From Zero to Hero project were incorporated into the construction of the house.
